County approves $4,000 extra for Assembly Room floor and $94.85 vendor fee for new Explorer

Maintenance Supervisor Rick Drietz reported crews found concrete under the old floor when Assembly Room construction began; removing it will add $4,000 to the project. The Board approved paying Matt Pederson Concrete Construction, LLC an additional $4,000 from capital improvement funds (motion by Mic VanDeVere, seconded by Corey Sik). Separately, the Board approved paying an additional $94.85 to vendor Weelborg for the 2026 Ford Explorer due to an added fee (motion by Joe Drietz, seconded by Dean Nielsen). Both motions passed unanimously.
The minutes record the additional amounts and funding sources; staff will continue project oversight and invoice processing.
