County approves MPCA feedlot delegation agreement; site count falls to 366

Environmental Administrator Dustin Hauschild presented the 2026–2027 County Feedlot Program Delegation Agreement with the MPCA (Minnesota Pollution Control Agency) and reported the county’s permitted feedlot sites fell from 384 to 366 since the prior agreement.
Hauschild provided a site breakdown within shoreland districts: 10–49 animal units — 38 sites; 50–299 — 283 sites; 300–999 — 36 sites; over 1,000 — 12 sites. The Board approved the MPCA County Feedlot Program Delegation Agreement Work Plan by motion (moved by Mic VanDeVere, seconded by Joe Drietz).
