Lincoln County schedules Board of Equalization for June; assessor reports SAMA certification

The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners set the county Board of Equalization for June 16, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. after a motion by Commissioner Corey Sik and second by Commissioner Joe Drietz, which passed unanimously. Assessor Shirly Abear told the board she interviewed with the State Board of Assessors on Jan. 13 and passed, completing the Senior Accredited Minnesota Assessor (SAMA) certification.
Abear also said county parcel data has been sent to Vanguard and the assessor’s office expects the new property system to be built and accessible to staff in the spring. No formal action was required for the Vanguard update; the BOE date will appear on the county calendar for later public notice.
