The Board approved a Vanguard Service and Archive Service Contract with an annual fee of $17,202.50 for five years (total $86,012.50), a Vanguard Data Conversion Service Agreement with a maximum cost of $11,655.00, and archive costs for years three through five at $2,975.00 per year (total $8,925.00). The service contract motion was moved by Commissioner Joe Drietz and seconded by Mic VanDeVere; all voted in favor.
Commissioners noted the up‑front cost is substantial but said the county expects long‑term staff time savings by moving away from paper field cards. The minutes record that Abear previously worked on a Vanguard conversion for Lyon County and assisted that transition. The motions were approved unanimously.
