Lincoln County adopts 2026 ditch assessments, including multiple five‑figure items

The Lincoln County Board approved Resolution 36‑2025 on Nov. 18, 2025 to adopt the 2026 ditch system assessments. Environmental Administrator Dustin Hauschild explained most assessments will be close to last year’s amounts and walked the Board through line items before the vote.
The assessment schedule included several substantial figures: County Ditch 35 $50,000; County Ditch 37 $50,000; Judicial Ditch 30 $50,000; Judicial Ditch 19 $15,000; County Ditch 40 $12,500; Judicial Ditch 12 $10,000; and Judicial Ditch 31 $7,500. The Board approved the resolution by motion (Nielsen/VanDeVere). Hauschild also said planned redeterminations for 2026 include CD 20, CD 37, JD 22 and JD 32, and noted Public Ditch 4 is projected to end the year with a negative balance requiring a small loan from Revenue.
