The resolution appoints three Lincoln County commissioners—Corey Sik (District 1), Commissioner Drietz (District 4) and Board Chair Steve Hauswedell (District 5)—to future proceedings of the joint county drainage authority, with corresponding appointments from Lyon County to be cross‑ratified. Commissioner Dean Nielsen moved adoption; Commissioner Mic VanDeVere seconded. The vote was 4 yes, 0 no, 1 absent and the Chair declared the resolution adopted.
The resolution cites Minnesota Statutes, section 103E.235, subdivision 2, as the authority for forming a five‑member joint county drainage board when a drainage system benefits land in two or more counties. Board members said the action restores formal membership and clarifies the process for filling future vacancies.
