Amber Huebner, Director of the Big Stone County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA), requested $124,334 in Statewide Affordable Housing Aid (SAHA) to cover plumbing work at Lakeside Apartments. Huebner said HRA received Small Cities Development Grant funds and that SAHA dollars would meet the HRA’s matching requirement for the plumbing project.
Huebner also asked the board to approve a proposed 2026 levy of $26,000 to pay for per diems, additional builders risk insurance during the plumbing project and additional cleaning costs; she said she would provide more detail to the board on the proposed uses and amounts. The board approved the SAHA appropriation as presented by unanimous motion.
