Applicant says new monument sign follows town request to create 'gateway corridor'

John Coker, representing C and L Properties, stepped forward to speak for the applicant and gave his address for the record. He told the board that much of the proposal had been covered by staff and added that the sign is intended to follow a town-council direction to create a gateway corridor: "I guess the only other thing that I would add, yeah, to your point is when we in 2023, I think for the original reason, it was 1 of the requests that the town council had at the time is we can't create that gateway corridor."
Coker said the intent is to provide matching gateway signage on both sides of the parkway and to help establish the corridor identity. He provided the applicant's business and address on the record: John Coker, C and L Properties, 8801 River Crossing Boulevard, Indianapolis. No members of the public signed up to speak in opposition or support during the hearing portion transcribed.
