Village President Wendy Marinan asked the board and staff for an update on short-term rentals and the data the board expected to receive. A staff member responded that the vote on a short-term rental ordinance is complete and that the village is working with a new, permanent company to implement monitoring and compliance.
The staff member said the village pushed the monitoring company to begin work last week and offered to provide a further update the next day. Trustees recorded no additional motions or regulatory changes during the update, and no compliance data was presented at the March meeting. The board indicated it would consider operational reports from staff once the monitoring firm is fully onboarded.
