Peter James, a homeowner and representative of his neighborhood, told the hearing that roughly 65 homes near Cornelius Landing experience ongoing runoff and flooding issues and asked whether runoff from the proposed site into Spring Creek and Dry Creek had been considered.
"So the water runs also from Cornelius Landing through those areas during rainfall and flooding," James said, asking whether studies and distance standards had been applied to the site and how residents can check that submissions were received. He said his homeowners association would follow up.
ADEM staff said questions raised at the hearing will be answered in the agency's formal response to comments. James said he has worked with the agency in the past and sought a point of contact for tracking the permit submission and the department's evaluation.
