Commission approves fairgrounds gas agreement with Creston Oil Company and July 4 entertainment contract

The Prosecuting Attorney drafted a Natural Gas Service Agreement between Creston Oil Company and the Barbour County Commission for gas service at the Barbour County Fairgrounds; the agreement was reviewed by legal counsel and approved by the Commission on a motion by David Strait, seconded by Bob Richardson (3-0).
Commissioners held a prior work session to review fairgrounds policy and procedures and provided direction to staff to continue development. Separately, the Commission approved a Performance Agreement Contract with Tennessee Outlaw Country for music entertainment at the July 4th community event at the fairgrounds at a cost of $1,000; music will be held July 4 from 7:00–9:00 p.m.
