County reports Active Threat Drill was successful; EMS notes billing progress and hires

Corey Brandon provided an update on an Active Threat Drill, saying participating groups were successful; feedback is being collected to identify strengths and improvement areas and planning will continue in coordination with the Board of Education. FBLA students who participated also offered feedback based on their experiences.
Aaron Bostel reported EMS’s involvement in the drill, described it as a positive and valuable experience, and noted that Medicaid billing is finally being processed though deficiencies with Blue Cross Blue Shield billing persist. He also reported the Ambulance Authority has hired two new employees and reminded the Commission that EMS Week is approaching.
