The commission approved an amplified sound permit for Warrenton Kids Inc.'s Hit-a-Thon fundraiser at Quincy & Bessie Robinson Community Park. Public works director Kevin Gorman described the event as a home-run-derby-style fundraiser that will use a small PA system for announcements and background music, not live bands.
"It's gonna be running from 8AM to 7PM," Gorman said, asking commissioners for any objections. With a motion and second, the commission approved the permit without objection.
