The resolution text cited counselors' role in helping students "reach their full potential" and the board asked the superintendent to read the whereas clauses into the record prior to the roll-call vote.
Trustee (speaker 8) moved for approval of Resolution 25-17 and Trustee (speaker 2) seconded. The board recorded aye votes from President Lopez Menes, Vice President Patmosil, Trustee McAllister, Trustee Velasquez and Trustee Delray; the student trustee recorded an aye as well. The resolution passed and trustees commended counseling staff — including Kim Harris and other site counselors — for their work supporting students.
