Voters, advocacy groups urge clearer rosters, more transparency and better mail-ballot tracking
Summary
A series of public commenters — precinct chairs, the League of Women Voters and other volunteers — told the commission they encountered missing mail ballots, inaccessible roster downloads and confusion about curbside and provisional voting; several asked for regular public performance reporting.

A range of community speakers used the commission's public-comment period to press for clearer information and improved operations.
Precinct volunteers described canvassing households that reported not receiving mail ballots or finding inconsistent roster entries. One volunteer asked that rosters posted on the county site be provided in CSV or Excel format rather than PDF to help local parties and volunteers check records and support voters.
Jill Torbert, president of the League of Women Voters, and other speakers asked for a larger, better-trained elections staff and public education about polling times and curbside voting. The League recommended that the commission relay funding and staffing concerns to the Commissioners Court during budget deliberations.
Speakers also asked the administrator to publish measurable metrics on voter-registration processing, ballot-by-mail tracking and wait times so that the public can assess improvements before the November election.
