The Woodstock select board approved staff's recommendation to shortlist three firms to negotiate on the town's water system improvement work, including a new well and the Route 4 pipe replacement.
Staff member explained the RFP approach: the town asked for proposals without quotes, then selected the three strongest firms for negotiation. Staff said, “We received 4 proposals. At this time, we're asking to go forward with, MSK, Weston and Sampson, and Eldridge and Elliott, to negotiate the next steps with them.” Staff described the work as for the “new well project and what we're calling 1 b, which is the pipe replacement down Route 4, from Clock 60 down to the bridge by the rec center.”
A committee member moved to approve the shortlist, the motion was seconded, and the board voted in favor. Staff will proceed to negotiate scope and pricing with the three named firms.
