Wood Village says new five-year Gresham contract secures service through 2031 but costs jumped to $940,000

Dirks told meeting attendees that Wood Village previously paid approximately $560,000 to Gresham Fire in an earlier fiscal year and that the renewal this year is roughly $940,000. "About 940,000 this year, and then the rest of the five-year agreement increases at 7.3%," he said, adding that the increase contributed to the current general-fund gap.
He also announced the parties have a new five-year agreement in place to continue Gresham Fire coverage through June 2031, which he said provides continuity while the four city region examines longer-term district options. Dirks described the contract increase as the main driver of the shortfall that triggered consideration of a levy.
