Benbrook council highlights community events and urges caution after recent hailstorms

During member comments, Council member Moore addressed residents affected by recent hailstorms: he cautioned that contractors paying homeowners’ insurance deductibles is illegal and encouraged residents to choose reputable roofers, offering private recommendations to call him. “Not paying your deductible is illegal. If your roofer tells you that they will pay your deductible, that is illegal,” Moore said. Councilmembers also congratulated local youth sports teams and reminded bicyclists and drivers to obey traffic laws and use helmets.
