Neighbor asks whether lot split will change school bus access; staff: no development proposed

During the public hearing on PB-26-01, resident Kaye McIntyre of 83 East South Street asked whether the existing on-site driveways used by school buses would be closed if the property is split and whether a future purchaser would allow buses to use those drives. "For the school buses, is that gonna be closed off and the traffic's gonna go down East South Street?" McIntyre asked.
Planning staff replied that the application before the board was only a lot split and that no development proposal or access changes had been submitted. The clerk stated, "this at this time, this is just the lot split ... There are no answers to what would happen in the future at this time because nothing's been submitted." The board did not take action on bus routing; any future changes would depend on subsequent development applications or agreements between future property owners and the school district.
