City Manager Sharon Satino responded that mid‑block crosswalks are typically discouraged because drivers do not always anticipate pedestrians in those locations; she said a traffic study would likely be needed and encouraged residents to use the existing corner crosswalk for safety. Council members asked staff to revisit the location and safety history as part of future traffic planning.
No formal action was taken during the meeting; staff said they would consider the safety tradeoffs and return with guidance if a traffic study is required.
