Board updates large complaint docket; several cases dismissed or deferred

The Chiropractic Physicians' Board of Nevada spent substantial time reviewing its complaint docket on Jan. 15, 2026, giving updates on investigations and voting on several dismissals. Benjamin S. Lurie, DC, reported he "re-engaged with the Advantage Group" on several matters and noted difficulty coordinating with outside counsel on scheduling interviews. The Board moved to dismiss Complaint 24-01S with a letter of instruction after the licensed DC corrected online listings that could have misrepresented their professional designation.
The Board also dismissed several complaints that arose from social-media posts. Dr. Lurie described those matters as protected speech, stating the postings "are an individual's 1st amendment right and does not have anything to do with public safety," and the Board voted to dismiss Complaints 25-21S, 25-22S and 25-24S. Several complaints remain under investigation; board members said they are scheduling interviews and, in some instances, retaining expert review. The Board asked counsel to continue pursuing outstanding document production and interviews.
