Council approves site plan for Chipotle drive‑through at Gateway Village outparcel

Wes Morrison, Development Director for the City of Bedford, presented a site plan for Lot 1 R 3, Block 1 of the Gateway Village addition — an outparcel commonly known as 213 North Industrial Boulevard — to permit a drive‑through Chipotle. Morrison said the site plan meets the heavy‑commercial zoning and Master Highway Corridor Overlay District requirements and that sidewalks and pedestrian access will be required as each outparcel is developed.
Council members asked about landscaping continuity with the broader development and screening for the dumpster; Morrison said staff worked with the applicant on those items and that pedestrian connections would be required. The council moved to approve the site plan and voted unanimously to adopt the motion.
