Bee Cave honors three new officers and announces police promotions

The city’s police leadership presented Cameron Carlone, Caleb Taylor and Benjamin Yipen as newly sworn officers and announced promotions including Guadalupe “Lupi” Navarro and Vicente (Vince) Montes. The presenter described badge pinning as a public symbol of welcoming and promotion. Police Chief (presenter) said the ceremony was “a public display of not only welcoming our new officers into our family, but promoting those, within the ranks.”
Officials gave brief background on each officer’s training and ties to the community: Carlone with an associate degree in criminal justice, Taylor with a B.S. in criminal justice from Sam Houston State University and ties to the Lake Travis area, and Yipen with degrees from Texas A&M and UT Austin and community-outreach experience. Lieutenant Guadalupe Navarro was noted for years of service and leadership roles; Captain Vicente Montes reflected on his long tenure and thanked the council, saying, “I am blessed to have each one of y’all out here.”
The mayor and council welcomed the officers into chambers and congratulated them on their service. No council action was required for the recognition; the item was presented as a ceremonial update.
