Bedford honors departing councilmember Rich Steeves; two newly elected members sworn in

City Secretary Michael Wells presented finalized election totals from Tarrant County and read a resolution formalizing results for the May 2, 2026 general election. Wells reported Shelley Lehman elected to Council Place 4 and Rob Gagliardi to Place 6, and he administered the oath of office to both new members. The motion to receive the election results and proceed with the oaths was approved by verbal vote without objection. Mayor Cogan welcomed both new council members and noted the council will now move into its regular session.
