The council approved awarding the Area 14 Drainage Improvements project to JTM Construction after staff and the engineer evaluated sealed bids. Staff reported five bids were received and that JTM was the lowest responsible bidder with a bid of $1,382,178.50. Staff said the low bid is below the engineer's estimate and leaves funding available to support the design and construction of Area 19 (Cottonwood Creek Improvements).
Project staff explained the work will include regrading ditches, replacing undersized culverts and installing storm sewer inlets. The contract will be administered under the city’s GLO contract (no. 20149-F008) and staff noted JTM has previously performed similar GLO work for the city.
