Bay City Library recognized with TMLDA achievement of excellence award

Samantha Denbow (speaker 7) presented the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association (TMLDA) achievement of excellence award to the Bay City library, noting the award recognizes libraries that demonstrate standards of excellence in outreach, programming, digital access, and collaboration. She said Bay City is one of roughly 101 libraries to earn the award this year and is in the top 20% of public libraries in Texas.
"With this award, we are one of 516 public libraries in the state and one of 101 who earned this this year," Denbow said, highlighting strengths in services to underserved populations, literacy support, and digital inclusion. City staff and council members acknowledged library staff and accepted the recognition.
