Staff said the city has adopted design and development standards for the city center and will begin rezoning individual parcels consistent with that plan.
Board members were told that, once the parcel is secured, the EDC and city council would likely return for funding discussions about building the municipal center. No formal funding decision was made at this meeting; staff reported that negotiations and rezoning work are in progress.
