The Anna Community Development Corporation and Economic Development Corporation voted March 5 to adopt Resolution 2026‑03‑4 amending the fiscal year 2025–26 budget to carry forward $4,980,437 in expended land-acquisition funds. The chair introduced the item and turned the discussion over to finance staff for explanation.
Miss Roach, who presented the item, said the property purchase exceeded the $525,000 originally allocated for land acquisition and that the larger figure was paid from the fund balance. "The amount was actually paid out of our fund balance," Roach said, adding that the amendment is intended to show the expenditure in the budget statement for auditing and tracking purposes and not to increase the budgeted resources. The board asked no substantive follow-up questions and the resolution was approved by voice vote with no opposition announced.
The measure was described in the meeting materials as an amendment to record an expenditure of $4,980,437 under land acquisition. The board’s approval records the transaction in the fiscal-year budget documents; the presenter emphasized the change is an accounting amendment and does not provide additional appropriation.
