Donnie Hooper told the council the TWDB application and engineering documents have a short schedule of requirements with paperwork due to the board by March 13 and engineering documents due by March 16. The city must have closing instructions executed by April 7 if selected. "This is the $20,000,000 sponsored by Caroline Fairley," Hooper said, asking the council to approve the resolution on first and final reading to allow staff to submit the required items.
Council approved the waiver and adopted the resolution by voice vote. Staff thanked Representative Fairley for assistance in advancing the funding opportunity and said the city will follow the TWDB timeline for submission and closing.
