Danforth noted that the city is accepting dozens of development projects (Beacon, CityView, Heritage Hill, Homestead, South Gateway, Trade Winds, Vineyards and others) and said accepting finished subdivisions increases the miles of streets, alleys and mains the city will maintain. He said the city currently has a high percentage of CIP items either in design or completed (80–85% cited for recent years) and described drainage‑bond priorities, including a Lawrence Lake dewatering project that will boost pump capacity and is expected to come back to council with a guaranteed maximum price.
