Board approves turf and track projects, authorizes tech spending and raises procurement threshold

IT staff explained equipment replacements are timed to avoid a mass-refresh after many devices age simultaneously, and noted supply-chain and component-price volatility for storage and memory.
In a related action the board approved amending district purchasing policy DJ to raise the threshold requiring board approval from $150,000 to $250,000. Members debated transparency and reporting; several directors asked staff to draft an administrative rule and an enhanced public reporting plan to accompany the threshold change. The board approved the threshold increase and directed staff to return with implementation details and reporting protocols.
