Councilmember Paula Dix outlined a proposed planting plan for Glen Path and said she believes most of the plants should be evergreen to provide year‑round screening.
Councilmembers asked staff and Ms. Dix for more information about the size of proposed plants, growth rates, water requirements and pruning needs so they can judge suitability for the planting strip. Several members said they would prefer to hear input from immediate neighbors before final approval. The council reached consensus that the planting plan should be finalized by September to enable planting by mid‑October.
Councilmembers noted that waiting until October could allow alignment with Parks Levy funds, but they also expressed concern plants might be unavailable later in the season.
