Beaux Arts Council: Street Fund overrun requires 2025 budget amendment
Summary
Clerk/Treasurer Sue Ann Spens told the council that all funds are within budget except the Street Fund, overrun because King County's invoice for a paving project arrived late and was paid from 2025; receipt of a TIB grant offsets the cost but an amended 2025 budget will be required.

Clerk/Treasurer Sue Ann Spens presented a year-to-date review of the 2025 budget as a preliminary step toward 2026 planning. She reported that all funds are generally within budget except the Street Fund, which is over budget because King County’s bill for last year’s paving project arrived after the cutoff for 2024 expenditures and was paid from the 2025 budget.
Spens said the Town also received a TIB grant this year, which offsets that expenditure to some degree, but the timing caused the Street Fund overrun. The council agreed that an amended 2025 budget will be necessary; staff will prepare the amendment and bring it back for council action.
No specific dollar amount for the Street Fund overrun is recorded in the minutes; the clerk noted the invoice timing as the cause and directed staff to prepare required budget documents for council review.
