Jody Mader of Emergency Communications presented the proclamation outlining the history of the observance and the role of public-safety telecommunicators. Commission Chair Marc Murphy read the proclamation aloud. Commissioner Darren Jackson moved to approve the proclamation declaring April 12–18, 2026 as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week in Butler County; Commissioner Kelly Herzet seconded. The motion carried 5-0.
The proclamation recognizes telecommunicators' work and directs county officials to mark the week and thank communications personnel for their service.
