United Way unveils Chatham housing dashboard as county partners expand data sharing

United Way impact manager Daisy Butser and Chatham County Housing Director Jason Smith told commissioners on Sept. 15 about a newly launched Chatham Housing Collective public dashboard and resource directory that aggregates monthly, de‑duplicated metrics from service providers and helps residents find assistance in English and Spanish.
Butser said the dashboard grew from the 2023 strategic plan and the Housing Collective’s provider subcommittee; service providers began reporting metrics in December 2024 and a consultant built the public dashboard this summer. "What I'm most excited to talk about, though, is our data collection and dashboard structures that we have built out in the last year or so," Butser said. Commissioners praised the tool as a more seamless way to connect residents to services, and staff said they will continue monthly refreshes and outreach to encourage use among decision‑makers and residents.
