Public Works reports storm cleanup, meter upgrades and near-complete lift-station CIP

Public works staff provided an operational update highlighting recent storm-response work, trash and debris removal at the 949 site, and multiple meter upgrades across the system. "Public Works has been out doing a whole lot of things the last 2 months," the staff speaker said, noting crews replaced dozens of hard meters and installed roughly 40 radio-read devices, with another delivery of 54 radio reads arriving the day of the meeting.
At the wastewater plant staff reported an upgraded UV system and replacement of two circuit boards that had caused operational failures; they also plan to upgrade dissolved-oxygen (DO) meters soon. The speaker said the meter-reading cycle has improved, dropping from several days down to roughly 1.5 days as radio reads come online. Staff framed these projects as parts of ongoing CIP work and said most paving work is completed for the season.
