The Benbrook Economic Development Corporation received its monthly financial report on March 16, 2026. Director Ms. James reported February sales tax receipts of $311,849.88 and year-to-date sales tax collections of $493,234.03.
“For the month of February the board did receive $311,849.88 for your 0.5¢ sales tax revenue,” Ms. James said. She reported a checking account balance of $3,202,753.44 and a tax-pool account balance of $4,299,647.70, putting total liquid assets at $7,502,401.19. Ms. James also reported month revenue of $330,681.07, interest of $16,372.58, franchise payment fee of $1,558.61, signed rental income of $900, total operating expenses of $34,194.75, pending project balance of $1,039,068.79, encumbered funds of $1,073,263.54, and an ending fund balance of $6,429,137.65.
Ms. James offered to answer board questions about the financials; none were recorded. The report provides the board’s most recent snapshot of sales-tax dependent revenues and available funds ahead of future budget discussions.
