Georgio said the council is focusing on a Public Improvement District (PID) as a top tool, improving entrances and walkability, and looking at parking strategies such as remote parking or valet options.
Georgio described evaluating tournament-quality sports fields as a revenue opportunity, saying that hosting tournaments "could be up to $20,000,000 a year in just business to the city." She also summarized council debate over setback changes and noted that, after much resident feedback concerning the Maker's District, the council was likely to pass the Maker's District without residential uses. Georgio said staff and council will continue reviewing CMU-related front-height/setback language and bring refined proposals back to commissioners and council.
