Parks staff showed drone imagery revealing damage to the Riverside Park boat ramp and bulkhead and told council they plan to apply for a $15,000 engineering grant this year to scope repairs, with construction funding to follow in a later budget year. The slide presentation showed part of the ramp had collapsed and staff said the engineering study would inform a construction grant application next cycle.
Staff asked council to note the Feb. 1 application cutoff for some grants and said this engineering step is intended to position the city to be competitive for construction funding when the next grant cycle opens. Council members acknowledged the visuals and asked staff to return with recommended next steps and estimated construction timelines once engineering analysis is complete.
