He described the proposed project as “a joint use public safety facility, between the city of Bee Cave and Travis County ESD 6,” and said the rezoning to Public District would mirror the adjacent city‑owned property. Lupano said the parcel is “about 2 acres” in the presentation and the staff materials described the request as approximately 2.8 acres along State Highway 71.
The Chair opened a public hearing; no members of the public spoke. Commissioners called the request straightforward and supportive. A motion to recommend the ordinance rezoning the property from Town Center Mixed Use to Public District was moved, seconded and passed unanimously. The recommendation will go to City Council for final action.
