The Bee Cave City Council re-elected Council member Andrew Clark to the position of mayor pro tem on May 12, carrying a motion unanimously.
City staff read Section 3.04 of the city charter describing the mayor pro tem's role and duties. "Council member Andrew Clark is currently serving as mayor pro tem after being elected in May 2025 with the term expiring May 2026," staff noted. Mayor Kara King moved to nominate Andrew Clark to continue in the role; the nomination was seconded and passed unanimously under Resolution No. 2026-23.
The council did not attach conditions to the appointment and no public comment was offered on the nomination during the meeting.
