“...we're asking, for approval, of the playground equipment for Godberry Park, which is slated at, $100,167,” staff said, noting that the community development budget line had roughly $105,176 remaining. Board members asked about contingencies and remaining line-item balance; staff said if contingency funds are not used they would remain available for future projects. A motion to provide funding for the Godberry Park playground not to exceed $100,167.39 was made, seconded, and passed by roll call.
The contract is to replace and remove existing equipment and install a new play structure for children approximately ages 2 to 11. Staff said they will keep the board updated about the timeline and will coordinate any council-level approvals that may be required.
