Jordan Kavarta shared a family experience of near-homelessness after a primary caregiver became ill and argued the city should emphasize prevention measures — institutions or supports that stop the pipeline from unemployment to homelessness. Both speakers asked what Bothell could do at the city level to help prevent housing loss; staff accepted the comments as part of the public record and noted follow-up would occur through usual staff channels.
