He also told the council the storage containers would allow contents to be removed quickly and that he would obtain three quotes for demolition work.
Council members repeatedly pressed Ramirez to at least empty the trailer and obtain bids so the council could assess reasonable timeframes. One council member said the council could either grant an extension now or wait until the original 90-day order elapsed; staff and council suggested Jerry (city staff) inspect the property in 30 days rather than taking immediate enforcement action. The council did not take formal enforcement action at the meeting and directed the owner to return with an update and demolition estimates at or before the next scheduled review (around May 28).
