Cleburne parks staff outlines skate park maintenance, rules and target June opening

Parks and Recreation staff presented the skate park maintenance program and proposed rules as the city nears an opening date for the new facility.
Mr. Dobson told council the park's layout is nearly identical to the construction and that the city had added site lighting for safety. He described daily, quarterly and annual maintenance schedules and said staff will prioritize immediate removal of offensive graffiti while scheduling removal of nonoffensive graffiti on a quarterly basis. "We're confident that we can open at some point in June for the community," Dobson said. The presentation also recommended signage consolidating rules, emergency contact numbers and a QR code linking to SeeClickFix for citizens to report damage or maintenance needs.
Staff asked for council direction on rules and confirmed the restroom and bridge work remains underway with the parking loop being completed soon. Council indicated support for moving forward with a June opening subject to final inspections and weather.
