Cedar Hill assistant city manager outlines summer events, board interviews and budget snapshot

Assistant City Manager Lisonbee Reen opened the calendar portion of the briefing by noting several near-term events and deadlines for Cedar Hill: a neighborhood walk in Hidden Lakes on May 30, the mayor’s prayer breakfast on June 4, the Kid Fish Tournament and a summer reading kickoff on June 6, the Scribe Control Prevention District Board meeting and CCPD budget review on June 9, and the North Central Texas Council of Governments assembly and music-in-the-park series on June 12. She said printed materials and parking/VIP wristband logistics for upcoming events will be provided to council ahead of those dates.
Reen also told council the packet included April police and fire monthly snapshots and the April monthly budget report, and she stated the city was slightly more than halfway through the fiscal year "where we'd like to be in terms of revenues and expenditures." She previewed regular-agenda items including scholarships, a proclamation and a final plat at Little Creek and Joe Wilson Road.
