Marina North Building renovation scheduled in CIP, including restroom redesign

Staff told the board that the marina's North Building renovation remains on the CIP with architectural fees budgeted in 2027 and construction slated for 2028. The plan calls for eliminating a breezeway, expanding the lounge area, and upgrading restroom finishes and fixtures.
"Elimination of the breezeway, expansion of the lounge area, new finishes, and tile in the restrooms," staff said when describing the renovations. Staff also said they planned to change public restroom layout to better use building space and pick up storage areas. No decisions were made during this meeting beyond including the project in the CIP; staff expect to return with additional details as design and budgeting progress.
The marina renovation is one of several facility maintenance projects the CIP covers across city departments, and staff emphasized that some items are placeholders pending refined quotes and further engineering work.
