The Canfield City Council met briefly to consider a resolution seeking auditor certification of revenue from a proposed 3.9-mill levy.
The presiding officer moved to waive the usual two-reading requirement and to permit a title-only reading so the matter could proceed at the same meeting; Councilmember Naccarato seconded. Councilmember Naccarato read the resolution and moved its passage, and Councilmember Dragish described the administrative steps and dates for placing the question on the November ballot. "Patty will walk it in through the board of elections by, August 5, which is the deadline date of the November ballot," he said.
No members of the public spoke on the item when the council solicited comment. Following the levy actions, a motion to adjourn was made and seconded, and the meeting concluded.
