Woodburn chosen as one of 20 finalists to present for All‑America City designation

City Manager Scott Merrick told the council that Woodburn was selected as one of 20 communities to present in Denver for the National Civic League’s All‑America City program. Merrick said the city's application emphasized youth engagement, partnerships with the school district, the World Food Bank, the Family Resource Center and other community programs.
"Woodburn was considered and was selected to be one of 20 across the country to present our community in Denver in May for an all American city designation," Merrick said. He described sending a delegation focused on youth programming and cultural representation and said roughly half of participating cities will receive the designation.
