"There'll be some serious transportation work to do kind of regardless of what's built," a staff member said, noting that the original site approval included developer-funded improvements and county allocations that may need re-evaluation. Councilors also discussed the possibility of a public-safety campus (sheriff/fire) on the site but said county funding and timeline constraints make feasibility uncertain.
Staff will continue staff-to-staff work with Grand Ronde, return with concept-level plans and cost inputs, and coordinate with the county on transportation analysis and code implications.
